A
videotape that was dubbed in Hell shows a
Gatekeeper (Tyler Collier) in his twisted
cabin of terror who hosts a deadly game
show with three not-so-lucky contestants
named Judy (Kara Eide), Anne (Kat Ethier)
and Dawn (Nada Josten) with the game
player betting on them in which only one
of them will survive this hellish
madness. The Gatekeeper seems to hack
away some of these contestants who never
got successful playing the game since
they were under his command.

This was probably the best
horror film I've ever seen done in 48
hours since these filmmakers did and
extremely clever job by doing so basing
this on the popular Nightmare
gameboard where you put in a VHS tape in
and play the game while watching it.
Lots of nicely done computerised effects
on a cabin or the surroundings on the
Gamemaster too. Watching this film really
leaves an impression on you and looks
quite professional to top it all off in
which this was done for the Bloodshots
Film Festival Contest in Vancouver
which is a tough task to create something
and if I was the judge I'd have chosen
this one to be the winner for sure.
There's good looking women as contestants
which is necessary for a horror film
along with gay themed material influenced
by a scene from the cult classic Sleepaway
Camp.
Bottom line is that this flick was very
twisted but in a great artsy way which
seems to combine movies like Saw,
Brainscan and A
Nightmare on Elm Street in one
and can see a sequel forming on this one
in which this short flick could be a cult
favourite in film festivals.

The acting was in good
shape since all of these performers
showed alot of great energy especially
lead actor Tyler Collier who was
perfect as a horror host in the show with
his maniacal speaking and horror humor in
which he reminds me of those other horror
characters like Freddy Krueger, Jigsaw or
Trickster like the characters from these
movies mentioned on the comments section.
He can become very successful wiht these
types of characters in future horror
flicks.

Jimi Cuell shows a
great still camera shot on Tyler Collier
when he hosts this game as well as
directing him good and crazily too. Plus
has other shots on Kara Eide, Kat
Ethier and Nada Josten
showing themselves when he introduces
them as contestants which they react well
as if they're on a gameshow but directed
in a good creepy type of fashion.
There's a great camera shot looking down
on a long staircase with these actresses
walking up the stairs as well as shots
looking up at them too along with
supporting actor Kevin McKinnon as the
Demon following them as well as him
killing one of them which was well done
too.
There's also good shots on a dog running
toward the camera, someone sleeping
looking afraid as well as good camera
takes on a homosexual makeout.

The music was done
terrifically in which we hear alot of
electronic guitar rock playing when the
game starts along with good booming
effects too all done by Chris
Alexander and Jimi Cuell. It
fit in well with the plotline.
