In the dying days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory.
Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they’re lured into the secret lab of a deranged scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) and forced to face off against his army of horrific flesh-and-metal war machines. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, the Russians must find the courage to face down this terrifying new menace – or die trying.
A nightmarish fantasy thrill ride unlike any other, Richard Raaphorst’s FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY is a delirious plunge into the darkest depths of insanity.

Many pointless moments on the Russian soldiers doing battle and going in the fields shooting but there's at times some humoress moments when we spot some of the soldiers terrorising a broken down group of houses as well as chasing after some chickens there which offered some chuckles.
We do spot a moment with the camera panning at a corpse l;ying on the ground which looked perfectly gruesome and then this object suddenly springing up which was a nice near jumping moment but yet nothing to be too thrilled about.
We spot a grizzly piece of art with a pack of dead bodies on one another as well as one still alive which offers some interesting moments and as to what some of these soldiers does to this person which doesn't look pleasant at all.
We spot a perfectly twisted moment with a surprising moment on some sort of character not human at all springing around as well as some pretty good intense moments on soldiers struggling against this thing and then certain one's getting slaughtered with gruesome results offering good shocking horror violence indeed.
Some odd fast moments on the soliders firing away at a robotic type object revealing a monstrous looking face as well as a situation with some of them getting demanding at their enemy by torturing him as this looked painful to watch almost done in a mafia type of way too.
Nice dark shots on the soldiers wandering through a dark passageway which almost gives it that Blair Witch type of feel while we watch this as well as near jumping moments on creatures attacking as this keeps you in suspense wondering as to what will happen within all of this madness. Yet afterwards it's nothing to brag about just like the rest of this lame plot.
A perfectly intense moment with a woman as well as the other folks trying to remove a helmet off one of the soldiers without trying to take the flesh off the top of his head which makes you watch in suspense wondering if this solider will survive this. It looks perfectly painful and the end results looked perfectly shocking and gross. Also more intense moments when one of the soliders beats up this woman which looked perfectly disturbing and violent.
Nice camera shots on the discovery of what looked like Frankenstein's laboratory which looked good and grungy as well as some shocking gore here and there too. Plus a good moment with spotting these creatures stored in a place standing still and then the camera zooming back and one of them is missing all of a sudden which we have a perfect attacking and jumping moment within all of this.
A good suspenseful shot with someone sliding down an area and landing discivering he's in some gruesome situations which seemed to look fitting for a Frankenstein sort of device as well as an object dragging in stuff along with good shots on a factory doing some creepy experiments which looked stupid when we find out on what is happening within all the surroundings.
We spot aq mad scientist moment with the title character Viktor as the Frankenstein role in which we spot really painful and disturbing moments as to what he does with some of the soldiers as well as his stupid creations too since we've seen these twisted moments before in other films. Also a nice focus on what he was going to do to his next victim which looked well focused as well as making you watch carefully to see what is going on along with more shocking horror violence too.
Bottom line is that this film was pointless from start to finish and I usually enjoy found footage horror flicks but this one is in the lame list like Quarantine was. The makers tried to make it as original as possible showing the past lives of a war in the European areas but fails big time. Also this film seemed to rip off minor elements from the Hellraiser flicks too. If you haven't seen this film then you're not missing out trust me.

The acting is pretty good and is better than the plot itself. Yet doesn't save the film from bombing. Lead actor (Sergei) shows off a perfect seriousness with his motiveness along with a perfect sterness too. Really had a great still type of behavior within all on what he does here and had the perfect looks for this too as the mature and intelligent type. Also does a great job when he gets into a rage showing off nice energy within all of this. Also knew on how to react to intense pain and torture near the end of his performance too making this very lifelike.
(Dimitri) did his part smoothly as he comes across as the calm type in the film and acting beliebveably cautious. Also does bring up the hype when the terror strikes him while freaking out and showing great paranoid expressions by really getting into the scene big time here. He was for sure a good choice for this role and a worthy character actor.
(Vassili) lived to play a perfect obnoxious bad ass solider and was one of the best out of the cast. He really lunged in for the aggressions and was believeable with his quick tempered behavior. Also was perfect within his blocking when getting forceful with others and brought out the power greatly with his violent attitude. Was a ball of negative energy for sure along with having great raging expressions too when being this way. Two thumbs up for this guy.
(Novikov) didn't have a huge role in the film but stood out the most and I was disappointed that he was killed off pretty quick in which he had a perfect gruff speaking into his voice and was perfect as a cold blooded type of leader on his pack of troops. Did what he had to do as well as showing no mercy whenever he had to be this way. He had the perfect elder but tough type of looks which was another nice bonus to his character. He was what you'd picture in a nasty Russian leader.
(Viktor) was the best out of the cast and came into the film later on portraying the Frankenstein character in which he studied this role perfectly well with his insane speaking and driven to a great madness acting perfectly evil with whatever he does here. Had a nice growly type of vocalising and just knew on how to go nuts whenever he was doing an experiment. Had the right looks for a mad scientist. I can see him getting other types of roles in horror films due to this part in which he does it cleverly.

A gruesome looking corse with a mangled face is revealed lying on the ground.
Dead bodies are mangled piled up on one another.
Intestines are pulled out of a soldiers body.
Body parts are revealed in various areas of the scene mainly in a factory.
Cut off hands are revealed.
Arms are cut off.
A brain is revealed after a helmet is ripped off of someone's head.
A finger is chopped off.
Head is cut off.
Numerous gruesome looking experiments are being done out of body parts.
Top of a person's head is sawed off with their brain revealed.

There's an opening theme song with chanting of an army type of marching which sounded strong to listen to. An odd moment for a found footage film as there's the odd sound effects like some hissing sounds which gives it a nice dark feeling and low moaning types too especially for the monstrous creations attacking. There's also some thumping sounds too as well as scraping noises which also sounded fairly powerful to listen to in the story.
