Hi Ameara, first off could you do as all a favor
at www.racksandrazors.com and describe the room
where you are answering these questions?
Well, to start I am in
my office, and I would like to thank you for the
opportunity to do this interview.
Oh, you're
welceom. You've been getting fantastic reviews
for your work as Angela Aberdeen, the suicidal
stripper/prostitute in 'Slaughtered Vomit Dolls'.
What in your background help you prepare for the
role and what did you keep in mind to nail the
part so well?
I didn't do
alot of prep for this role, except that I was an
exotic dancer. The enviornment of the shoots made
it easy to keep the mood of the scene. Thank you
for the compliment, I wasn't really sure that I
had nailed the part, but I knew that the project
was very important so I tried as best I could to
use method acting and mentally become Angela.
So tell me about
getting the role and capturing the vision of
writer/director/editor Lucifer Valentine.
Well I had
worked with Lucifer on other non related projects
and at the time I wasn't really sure of the whole
vision that he had in mind -- but I knew that it
was something that I wanted to contibute to as
much as I possibly could.
Do you have a
favorite memory of filming the movie?
One of my
favorite memories of doing the film would be the
numerous times I would be sittilg beside the air
conditioner at 4am after shooting all night
reading page after page of dialogue. LOL.
How does it feel to be named the first star of
the vomit gore genre?
Well I don't
really know... Lucifer is the real star but it is
nice to know that all the work we did is getting
positive recognition.
It seems that a
role like this would lead to all sorts of strange
requests and comments...do you have a favorite
something a fan has asked of you?
Not really,
but when I was a dancer I had a man ask me to
wear a pair of panties for a week and sell them
to him EWWWW. ( I don't think so). So
what is next for you careerwise -- a nice
romantic comedy?
Why you have
something for me? Um I would love to do more
acting -- I really miss it, a romantic comedy --
sure bring it on, I'd consider any role.
Okay, we're
pulling the car into the Ameara LaVey Drive In.
What three horror movies are on the triple bill
and what goodies are they going to be serving up
at the concession stand?
Texas Chainsaw
Massacre, Arachnophobia, and Saw. I would be
eating Ice cream, Smarties, and Vanilla Coke, no
vodka...
And finally, what
scares you in real life? What scares me
in real life? SPIDERS definitely
SPIDERS,everything else I think I could handle.
Thanks Ameara and all the best to you
both in life and in your career. |
