In 1969, a group of teens are travelling to a rally in D.C. but their vehicle breaks down and find a farm in an isolated area run by a strange family as they're not who they seem to be.

The film starts off twisted with what looks like a woman being dissected on a torturing type of table trying to make this piece have a grindhouse look but yet it looked slightly off.
Then when the story starts to roll we have a group of kids cruising for some fun and adventure which looked incredibly bland to watch and stops at a nearby place to get instructions from a redneck whom is unpleasant and uses racism against on of the friends whom is black and of course you could tell this redneck is a prick to your face.
Then when they're on their way of course their vehicle breaks down which is of course typical in a horror film for them being stranded and they hike to where there's a farm with good camera shots on this and then when they enter the area looks creepy which I thought would be entertaining but it just fails. Does it sound familiar to a film we all remember from???
We discover the Staunton family about to have a meal and saying grace and although you could tell that the family was eccentric they weren't creepy enough like you'd think that they'd be while watching this unravel. It was quite stale.
Then one fo the friends Cole discovers one of the family members who happens to be a mentally challenged one named Buddy. While he approaches him there's a nice jumping moment on what this person does to him and boy was it fast acting. Still doesn't save the film from bombing but this scene was well done.

Later on, the family greet them as well as sitting outdoors having breakfast with Buddy serving them and one of the group of friends calls this person a retard which made me watch in suspense wondering if this person will snap. It's a real attention grabber.
A nice moment with Jordon and Cole being friendly with Buddy and showing him sympathy and his responding which looked fairly well done.
The suspense warms up again when an innocent blonde of the group of friends Trish looks for a washroom and Louise Staunton tells her where it is and spots the creepy stuff where she enters a certain barn and Buddy catches her. I got a feeling that something deadly is about to happen to her and it is brutal and very graphic as I will give the special effects artists some credit for this piece and can definetely please the gorehounds.
Then the couple Boone and Raina are walking through the farmland as well as Louise talking pleasantly towards them and then BAM! Something shocking happens which is another shocking moment indeed. This was well done as well.
Suddenly the two of them are strapped up and one of them is being tortured to death which is another great pointer for gorehounds and good effects. This was incredibly disturbing to watch indeed.
Then another nice horror touch I must admit is when Jordan spots Buddy feeding something to the pigs and it's not your everyday meat and she tells the other that they need to get away from the farm which for sure leaves your heart racing wondering if they will be able to escape.
Then the chase is on with the struggling situations which didn't do anything for me whatsoever as well as a twist with one of their friends having a dark secret but we've seen all of this in many other horror films so I wasn't impressed.
Bottom line is that this was a sheer ripoff to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 remake which didn't do anything for me at all and found this to be a waste of time. I'm sorry but I found this flick to be terribly bland with the odd shocking horror effects and so fourth. Avoid this one at all costs.

Alot of the acting is in good shape I must admit as (Jordan) seemed to do the trick as the sympathetic and mature one out of the group of friends and having a believeable kind hearted attitude. I liked on what she did in her role. Also does well crying and getting scared emotionally when the terror hits her as she was a full force of nature.
(Cole) knew his craft well as the nice guy next door type of attitude but didn't have the looks and appeal for this type of role but still knew how to do his job quite well for what he had to do regardless. He really sprung into action greatly by everything that he did.
(Quintin) stood out the most in his role as a cocky and arrogant one in which he did a great job of wanting to dislike him for acting so ignoarnt on stuff. Definetely knew on how to get into your face with his not so nice type of attitude. Two thumbs up.
(Louise Staunton) definetely added a nice motherly type of behavior as well as having an oddball attitude too. Shows off well as someone whom is untrustworthy by how she behaves and knew on how to act crazy too. She was a true force of nature.
(Buddy Staunton) was beliveably violent and insane as well as knowing his stuff by acting mentally challenged too. Knew on how to act powerful and showed off a great masculine presence within what he does. Had the perfect looks for his role which was another plus.
(Geraldine Staunton) had a great gravelly type voice as an old lady in a wheelchair in which she offered a nice bitter attitude as well as doing a good job with her insane speaking too. Seemed to be a worthy horror character actress.
(Trish) came across nicely in her supporting role as a timid innocent type as well as doing a good job by acting soft spoken and does this with style too. Plus does a nice job near the end of her performance by crying for mercy which was strongly done.

Leg is cut off in a dissecting table during the beginning of the movie.
Body parts are chopped off.
Leg is blown off.
Scalp is sliced off as well as insides being torn out.
Body pieces are fed to pigs.
Sharp object is stabbed through someone's shoulder.

Jesper Kyd seemed to really know his craft terrifically by what he does here with screeching and echoey string sounds making each scene perfectly eerie while watching the story unravelling which is sad the story sucked so badly as this was one of the only things going for this flick. There's also some hissing and rusty sounds too with screechy noises as this didn't sound too shabby at all.
