Luc,
why don't you start all the racks and razors
readers off with a visual and describe the room
where you are answering these questions.
Well, actually, I
am on vacation for the holidays, so I am not even
home. I am in an office in a garage, with a
little couch and books and a window with a view
into the backyard.
First off why
don't you tell me a little about your character
Ringo in your newest film 'Warriors
of the Apocalypse' with Debbie D.
and Darian Caine.
Last
July, I got the chance to be part of the cast of
Killer Wolf Films fourth feature film called
'Warriors of the Apocalypse'. It was shot in
Pennsylvania. I was there for a couple of days. I
had a blast! I played Ringo, the leader of a gang
of bad guys. It was very much fun to do and I got
to be around so many cool people! Great
experience! Darian Caine, Pamela Sutch and Amara
Arielle and all the people in my gang are really
wonderful to work with. And Len, the director is
a very cool guy! I am good friends with Debbie D,
but unfortunately, for the shooting of this
movie, I wasn't there when she shot her scenes.
The movie should be available sometimes in 2009!

You've also
worked several times with writer/director Steve
Sessions in 'At the House of
Madness', 'Torment'
and 'Southern
Gothic'. What has been the
greatest lesson you have learned from watching
him behind the camera?
I was a
fan of Steve's work even before I started acting
in his movies. He has a good vision of what he's
doing, what he wants on camera and what he wants
to create. He makes good suspense scenes with
cool twists. And the shoots goes pretty fast
because he knows exactly what he needs for the
editing. And he is really easy to work with. I
trust him and I know what he\rquote s going to do
will work fine! He also has around him
actors/actresses who just want to get the best
for him. Check out www.b-horror.com
I ask that
question too because you have directed and
written as well as acted...which of the three is
your favorite to do and which of the three has
provided the greatest challenge?
Well,
I've only directed a couple of very small short
projects. I still have to do a full feature
sometime in the future. I definitely want to do
it. I would say the best experience was doing
'Diary of Nightmares' because it was the first
one. I wasn't stressed about it and it was funny
to do with people like Kimberly Lynn Cole,
Isabelle Stephen, Lucien Eisenach, Kerri Taylor
and Steve Sessions ....
Do you have
any other upcoming film projects you want to be
sure to tell the readers about?
Well, I
was in three movies in 2008. The anthology 'At
the House of Madness' is already released on the
50 Movies Pack Catacomb of Creepshows. I got to
work with my good friend Donna Hamblin on the
segment I am in and we had a wonderful time. As
said earlier, 'Warriors of the Apocalypse' will
be available sometime in 2009. I also worked in
another anthology in September. The anthology is
called 'Frankenstein Unlimited'. All the segments
in the film are directed by different directors.
The one I am in was directed by my friend Maude
Michaud and the segment is called 'Reflection'. I
played the part of Mark, the boyfriend of the
lead actress. As for 2009, I do have several
POSSIBLE projects... so I don't want to say too
much about them. But the first one should be
filmed early March and will be directed by Steve
Sessions. I might work on another one in March in
Maine and I really hope it works out! And I might
appear in a new movie with Suzi Lorraine sometime
in May/June... few more I am not sure yet, so....
we'll see! Wish me luck! I still do modeling few
times a year! That's always fun!
You have
costarred with a whole string of scream queens in
several projects. I will give you the costars
name and you tell me your lasting impression of
them or something about the lady that surprised
you...
"Laura Giglio"
Laura is
a really sweet woman and she is totally
passionate about acting. She gives 100 per cent
all the time and she's always smiling and very
friendly. I wish her to be in many more movies.
Isabelle
Stephen
Isabelle
is a really good friend of mine. I get to see her
often since we are both from Montreal and we
worked together in many projects! She is such a
doll, funny, always having fun! She's a real
trooper!
Melantha
Blackthorne
I was in
a couple of movies with Melantha, but we never
worked together on set though. We write each
other though and I met her in the past. She is
very lovely lady. I hope I get to work with her
face to face soon!
Suzi Lorraine
Suzi is a
very good friend. She is friendly, talented and
gorgeous. She always has something interesting to
say and it's always nice to see her. She is
classy!
Amy Lynn Best
Well, we
both appeared in 'Countess Bathoria's Graveyard
Picture Show' which is an anthology but we
weren't in the same segment. I don't know when
it's going to be released, but I cannot wait to
see her work in the movie!
Back in the
1950s they had the films 'I was a
Teenage Frankenstein', 'I was a
Teenage Werewolf', etc. If there were a film made
of Luc Bernier's teenage years it would be called
I was a Teenage ___________________ because...
I was a
Teenage Luc with hair... because I am now a 27
years old guy without hair! hehe
What was the
first movie to scare the shit out of you?
Wow... I
think it was 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3'. I was
around 8 years old and my best friend loved
horror movies. I just remember being really
scared of Freddy and I thought he wouldn't be
able to find me under my blanket... yeah... I
wasn't that bright....
We're pulling
the car into the Luc Bernier Drive In. What three
horror flicks are on the triple bill for tonight
and what goodies are they going to be serving up
at the concession stand?
Ok, I am
giving you three titles, but really, it's just
hard to pick 3 ones. Alright, 'The Fog'
(Carpenter's one). 'Suspiria' and something less
serious 'Fright Night'. Goodies... I am sure you
thought I would say popcorn.... but no! I am not
a popcorn person. So let's say berries candy,
sour peaches and Pepsi.... or Mountain Dew.
What favorite
death scene in a horror movie would you love to
remake and star in?
It's a
tough one!!! Tough one... but since I have to
only pick one, I would say the Amanda Wyss' death
scene in 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. It's very
well done, creepy, original and great visual. But
you have no idea how many times I can say:
"oh wow I would love to be in that
movie!!" but it's not going to happen!
What scares
you in real life?
Real life
atrocities, death (not mine... people I love) and
heights.... if there is nothing to protect me....
give me a fence or whatever and I'm fine. |
