A sleazy dentist named Harry (Chuck Shamata) takes his new girlfriend Diane (Brenda Vaccaro) to his cabin by a lake in Ontario for the weekend only to be terrorised by rednecks.

The start of the film is a bit slow and tiresome in which we have our main characters Diane and Harry driving a corvette on the road and having stiff conversations along with her asking if she can try driving the vehicle. Many good close up shots within their discussions during these moments.
When they are driving along things grow intense when a bunch of demented rednecks lead by Lep are challenging them for a drag race. This is not too original since we've seen stuff like this before. However, it made me watch carefully wondering if these two will do it like they're forced to as well as cautiously watching to see if anyone will get hury or not. Defintely looked unpleasant when this situation has occured.
Lep and his gang goes on a spree looking for these two later on and goes to a family park with a Ranger asking for a permit to being there. A shocking moment happens when this poor person is tricked by them as this doesn't look pretty to watch..
When Harry approaches his cabin with Diane things look sketchy in which he has hidden rooms to spy on her getting undressed and so fourth in which I wondered whom is the basd person, him or that gang they encountered.
Lep discovers Harry's car annd talks to the caretakers of the land to make out he wanted to pay a friendly visit. I was like Uh oh! This doesn't liik good. However, this scene looked corny to watch. Especially the caretakers interactions with everything and slugging down a big container of moonshine. Lame indeed!
The gang invades the home which drew a greart tension with Diane and Harry pitted against them and being so helpless. Sure looked perfectly disturbing.
Lep and his friends decides to go on a crazy cruise with Harry's boat and boy does this look intense on what they do especially when they terrorise the caretakers on their boat. This will make you gasp on what they eventually do. Perfect intense camera shots on all of this.
This would've been a great moment for Harry and Diane to escape to go for help but of course in most horror flicks the victims don't make wise choices.
Diane manages to escape with Lep on her tail in which this is another moment I watched carefully wondering if she will get away and lose him. Yet we get a sinking feeling that he will get her just like in most horror films
There's even a moment when he pursues to rape her but this looked too planned out and not intense as it was intended to be. Definetly a rough one that needed a good kick in the butt for an improvement here.
The intensity rises when these creeps starts to trash the cabin in which this all looked truly disturbing to watch all the expensive stuff being destroyed. Good shots on all of this happening too.
When you think that Harry will do something to end the madness it backfires like in most horror flicks. Lots of fast paced moments that surrounds all of this.
The best is yet to come which saves this bland film from being below average when one of the rednecks whom is the shortest out of the crowd named what other else than Runt when he plans to rape Diane. She has a trick up her sleeve for him and I cheered.
She has other plans for the rest as this all looked well done which includes a fire in a boat house and things like that.
A powerful moment on her being pitted against Lep on what happens here which is filled with action packed suspense for what I spotted during the final moments which I won't give that away.
Bottom line is that we've seen horror revenge flicks before and most of them are nothing that great except for maybe Last House on the Left. This one also seems to borrow a bit from I Spit on Your Grave but nowhere near as shocking or exploited. This flick was a bit better than that one but not by much.
Fruet made a couple of better horror flicks such as Funeral Home and Killer Party which are more worth watching. This one was pretty bland and uninspired.

The acting is a bit stale and most of it is pretty bad too in which Brenda Vaccaro (Diane) was wooden in her performance. She seemed to only say her lines and not get into her character. When she reacts to being attacked she doesn't show a ton of fearful energy like what we would've thought with the role she played here.
Chuck Shamata (Harry) was also stiff in his performance but not as bad. Seemed to do okay with his anxious actions so I will give him credit for that. Also knew on how to act scared with the terror striking him. The rest of the times he was a bit flat.
Don Stroud (Lep) was the best out of the cast playing the redneck leader of his gang. Shows off a great obnoxious attitude as well as going nuts while driving his vehicle and other situations like that. Shows off some great demented energy and knew on how to act violent or temperamental when he had to behave that way which is often in this flick.
Richard Ayres (Runt) stood out fairly well in his supporting role and can be well remembered in his performance even if he didn't have as many lines like his fellow actors did. Was great by acting hyper and getting into all that he had to do..
Don Granbery (Stanley) had the most wild energy in his role as a hillbilly type with his looks and appeal. For sure he came across as truly creepy and annoying too. He springs to action greatly with his terror towards others. He for sure came across as someone that you'd want to kill in a very deadly way.

Brenda Vaccaro briefly exposes her breasts when her character is nearly raped.

An open throat is bloodily slit.
A body is burnt to a crisp.

Peaceful piano playing starts during the beginning of this flick which is not too shabby. The piano playing in other spots were decent along with modern violin music too as this blended in well. During the closing credits it sounded nicely done and necessary after from what had happened in which the composer studied this situation quite well. Plus some suspenseful classical music in the spots when the terrors happen in which this sounded similar to hearing it in a Friday the 13th flick.

Lep: [referring to Diane driving away] You goddamn fucking cunt! You'll get yours, baby!
