A bunch of comets from another dimension crash lands in a farm in which resides tarantulas including a giagantic one that feasts on locals there.

Ther story is cheesy all the way through and hard to follow so I will do my best here.
The opening begins with the start of a bolt in space heading towards Earth. Meanwhile a bunch of short scene's as happening when the bolt continues to dive down. This includes the boy next door Perkins talking to the local Sheriff about what's happening in town. Plus a farm with an unfaithful husband Kester leaving to do his little affair while leaving his wife Ev behind while she ends up drinking. This looked like a corny dysfunctional relationship. Also brief shots on a pastor preaching in a church as this looked zany to watch.
Alot of this happens through alot of the story as I was wondering if I was watching a movie with skits.
The stories start to come together more so later on. Such as Perkins dropping off his girlfriend Terry to the farm with her mother Ev is drunk and somewhat flirting with him. This left a corny impression on a dysfunctional family. It worked in this cheesy story though.
Kester comes home after his fling with a broad with Ev totally hammered and being negative towards him as this looked fairly impressive. Then the bolt start shooting down behind their home with an explosion. This looked fake but all of this was quite mysterious and effective.
Then things go chaotic with an army plane and other moments on everyone trying to figure out as to what has crash landed. Alot of this looked brief but energised.
Meanwhile, a dysfunctional moment with Ev towards his daughter Terry in which he reprimands her in an inappropriate way and she gets fresh with him. This was a total attention grabber even if this scene looked roughly done..
A well focused moment in the story is when both scientists Dr. Vance and Dr. Jenny Langer are discovering as to what was happening with that object crashing nearby. Plus exposing some spider webs being exposed in their building which is a nice horror touch to the story.
Another nice touch is when both Ev and Kester explores the next day as to what crashed in their farmland and spotting what has happened to their cattle. It looked shocking but the effects looked terribly done and phony. Still it stood out not too shabby for a horror flick.
When they prod open what they found a tarantula pops out that they don't notice as it runs away as I laughed while watching this. They spot at what looks like diamonds in this object. With excitement thinking they're going to be rich there's also greed coming from the asshole
Kester. This looked very effective.
The most memorable scene comes into place in which Ev is getting ready for bed and another object they found with the others that crash landed opens up with another tartantula coming out and crawling near her bed as this left a spooky feel to everything. Then when she freaks out she discovers something in her drawer which looked also spooky but cheesy effects nonetheless.
Later on she runs to a shed and something big awaits for her. This looked terribly phony and funny more than it supposed to being scary.
The fear happens again when Ev is digging up something on his property and out comes a gigantic spider as well as a horrifying incident as to what happens to him although like the rest looked phony and campy.
Another pleaser is after Terry's cousin Billy drives home after seeing her and a tarantula is crawling towards him while driving and he panics. Suddenly to his surprise he sees the giant one on the road which attacks, This looked well done along with this being well vhoreographed and shot..
Terry is in her room brushing her hair on her bed in which
there's perfect creepy camera shots on the other objects opening up and the spiders are creeping up on her in which she is trapped with them. I admit that this looked perfectly terrorising. But then the giant one is on the roof with the legs crashing through the walls to try and get her. I admit this was all well done.
A nice shot on both Vance and Jenny running up a hill and then the giant spider approaches and they try to get away. Lots of cheesiness here as usual in the story..
Next people are enjoying a time at an amusement park and enjoying the sunny weather. Suddenly to giant spider is approaching in the field heading towards this area. I found this to still be funny while watching all of this.
THen the people scream and flee away with this spider on their tail. These moments also reaveal in their village too which is a fun horror pleaser.
The giant creature also attacks a deputy when he tries to shoot this thing but we all know that he's the next meal. Great intense camera shots within all of this occuring. Another nice horror moment as well as a good close up shot on the spider. Of course whoever made this gigantic spider looked very fake. But we all knew this watching the flick from the start of the movie that it was a very low budgeted and weak plotted flick.
The very end of the story involves the fate of this thing with good gooey effects and all with nice shots on all this. Should please viewers that enjoy a party flick.
Bottom line is that it's a bad budgeted cheesy drive in type of non serious horror flick that was made just for the laughs. I got a kick out of it in which the story is just for the spider invasions than the performances or the storyline. Watch it for the fun of it. If you want a serious flick then this isn't for you.

The acting is pretty bad and over the top. However, Steve Brodie (Dr. Vance) seemed to offer a good seriousness to his role as a scientist. Plus seemed to react well to situations. He was good delivering his lines. I was impressed as he was one of the best in the cast.
Barbara Hale (Dr. Jenny Langer) was terrific as another scientist really focussed well into finding out some evidence as to what has happened. Also was good and clear within her speaking. She represented well onto the camera within her characteristics.
Robert Easton (Kester) seemed a bit off as a douchebag farmer and family man but yet came across clear that he's greedy and dysfunctional. Had the fair looks for this role and seemed to come off as a selfish prick so he has some good moments in his performance.
Leslie Parrish (Ev) as a basket case wife does an okay job acting dysfunctional as well as being hammered. Also does well being excited as well as terrified when she is being terrorised. Shows some decent energy while behaving like this.
Alan Hale Jr. (Sheriff Jeff Jones) was a natural ham but of course we remember him as the Skipper in Gilligan's Island. He shows a good bubbly attitude as well as a ton of spunk. He made his role truly likeable. He was probably the best out of the whole cast. Probably the most experienced one.
Kevin Brodie (Perkins) played the boy next door type in which mainly just had the looks. His talents seemed to be mediocre. I wouldn't say that he's terrible but isn't all well remembered by what he did here.
Diane Lee Hart (Terry) plays a sex object in the film but I wouldn't say she absolutely gorgeous. I guess she looked healty enough. Seemed average when she acts fresh and sarcastic but she needed a bit more enthusiasm. Does a great job near the end of her role when screaming while spiders are attacking her which she shows alot of great adrenaline.

Diane Lee Hart is topless with panties on walking out after a shower fully breasted.

Cattle is slaughtered on a field but it looks fake.
Bloodied bodies are exposed.
Giant spider eats victims with bloodsheds.

Alot of cheesy icy synthesizer playing with quiverring sounds for when the comets are about to land which seems to fit into the story. Plus some other echoet icy sounds which sounds outdated. In the story there's irritating quiverring sounds along with some string pluckings which repeats itself often and drove me nuts. In a certain scene in the farm some odd guitar twanging which was mediocre sounding. What was really effective quarter way through was other types of spooky sounds that blends into the story that involves the giant spider offering good timing.

Sheriff Jeff Jones: [greeting Davey in the opening scene] Hi, little buddy!
Dan Kester: You're hittin' the booze again, huh?
Dan Kester: Why, I ought to put you over my knee, pull down your britches and spank the hell out of ya!
Terry: Oh, I always wondered why you like to spank me so much! So you could get your jollies!
Sheriff Jeff Jones: [on the CB radio upon seeing the giant spider] You ever see the movie Jaws? It makes that shark look like a goldfish!
