A comic book store owner Edgar Easton (Thomas Lennon) travels to a convention with his friends on the history of Toulon. He realises his puppets at the auction there have come to life and are killing the costomers residing there.

I was wondering if I was actually watching a Puppet Master flick in which the beginning of the story confused me. It focuses on Andre Toulon apparently as this person doesn't come across as this person what so ever. He's chilling at a bar taking place in 1989 which the first one originally started.
He spots two young women at the bar in which they make out as they were showing him whom they are more attracted to. So stupid! I knew I was in for a bad film.
They leave in their car as one of them is murdered in a shocking way which is almost a jumping moment. This moment should please gorehounds. I founf this part mildly entertaining till I watched the rest of the story unfold.
However a moment when Toulon is lying down with above him were a bunch of nails looked mildly amusing. He speaks to his puppets in some sort of a telepathy with camera shots on them listening after what they did to those two girls in the car.
I thought that maybe this will be an enteraining piece. Was I ever fooled.
Edgar Easton goes to work at his comic shop which was nicely set out and talking to his bumbling friend Markowitz as well as dealing with a young customer whom is a bit arrogant. I found these situations different in the series. Still doesn't make it better.
His grade school crush Ashley Summers comes into the store in which she talks about a convention from the history of Toulon and his creations in which Edgar has possession of. This is Blade of course. They all agree to go along with Edgar telling Markowitz not to play any heavy metal music in his car. This leads to a bit of an argument. These moments seem to be a real attention grabber.
Nicely careful shots on Edgar looking at Blade which things seem still. Then suddenlky this puppet does something which is almost a jumping moment. I got the feeling something bad was going to happen here.
Also when both him and Ashley get into their hotel room he forces himself onto her as they make out and about to get into a lustful situation. I was thinking that this scene really lacked big time. It was just too obvious on what they were doing. Not enough inspiration towards all of this. Plus a case of bad writing too.
Then everyone gets together for the history of the place they're in hosted by Officer Carol Doreski. She explains to everyone on his creations as well as what has happened to certain people. Things like this and many more revealing his Nazi belongings from the German war and so fourth. This seemed to be necessary for a sequel. It was well focused too. But then things get pointless afterwards.
These puppets that the guests take seem to disappear. A couple enters their suite and suddenly an objects crawls underneath the bed. One of them goes under to see as to what was beneath there. Then later on the terror starts. This was supposed to look spooky but it failed to do so.
Another moment is when someone is about to take a piss in an unclean toilet. Shocking gruesome slayings happen to him with one of the other puppets.
Wanna know what the other one does to a pregnant woman in bed watching TV in her room? Absolutely sick and disgusting. Plus shocking to most people and unnecessary on the outcomes here.
Alot of the people escape the place only to being hunted down by these puppets. The pancking customers could've been more convincing. Yet some interesting killings on these figures which includes on what happens to a childs hands. Definitely shocking to see this moment. I found it unnecessary.
Detective Brown tries to hold everyone together and told them to stay inside for safety until they know how to destroy those things. None of these moments looked strong enough or adding any intensity as it was intended to be.
However things seemed action packed when Edgar and Markowitz shoot away at these objects tearing them to pieces which I admit was a pleaser to watch.
However something tragic happens to Markowitz with one of the puppets. He weakly tells both Edgar and Ashley what to do. This moment was supposed to be tragic and sad. Yet this looked way too cheesy.
The best terror is yet to come when Toulon's corpe comes to life in which he does something to Ashley with Edgar screaming out on this. This time worked out well. Plus intense situations on the struggles here. The effects looked pretty decent. Bit doesn't save this clunker from bombing.
The ending works when Edgar is back at his comic store in which he published a comic book based on his terror that brought in fans wanting to buy it. Also it says before the closing credits to be continued. I was like Oh god please let the next one be an improvement.
Bottom line is that this was the worst of the series. It was nearly plotless and hard to follow. In fact, I had a hard time reviewing it. The slaughterings are the films only drawing card. The puppets look completely different and not in a good way. The special effects in this one I had to admit were so much better than in the previous one. However, this one is very forgettable. I was confused as to why Toulon was a bad guy he's usually the goos one from what I remember. Avoid this one at all costs.

The acting is at a mediocre pace in which Thomas Lennon (Edgar Easton) seemed to have the right charming and outgoing appeal. Also delivered his lines quite well. Plus seemed to show okay energy within whatever he did especially battling the evil puppets. Also was great when he cries out quarter way of his performance which showed great emotions on behaving devastated.
Jenny Pellicer (Ashley Summers) offered a fair performance as the former school friend. She's not as hot qas she was intended to be. Yet offered a smart girl type of behavior. Seemed to deliver her lines okay too. Not the greatest actress but not terrible either.
Nelson Franklin (Markowitz) seemed to show off a good bubbly attitude in which his performance stood out the most. Was convincingly goofy and acted believably witty within what he did here. Really added a hyped up performance especially when he goes in for the attack. When he chokes out his final words sufficating to death he needed a bit of improvement.
Michael Paré (Detective Brown) was the best actor I found in his supporting role. He was very strong and serious within his speaking. Showed off a good force of nature. Reacted well to stuff and seemed to study this part quite well. Also had the right looks and appeal for this part.
Barbara Crampton (Officer Carol Doreski) was another convincing character actress. Was really sharp within her speaking as well as explaining stuff during the convention on Toulon. Spoke very clearly within all that happened. Also seems to have a tough as nails attitude too.
Skeeta Jenkins (Cuddly Bear) showed off as a brawny tough type of a persona. Yet showed off a believable attitude as someone whom is good natured. Really got into his battling and struggles. He for sure was a true force of nature. Would be well remembered in his supporting role for anyone who saw this.

A woman takes off her top and has her breasts exposed while making out on a hotel bed.
Big breasted bimbo in another hote room is getting it on with another guy.
Dead body is seen in a bloody bath top breasts exposed.

You gorehounds for shocking and sick horror violence will love this!!!!
A few decapitated heads in separate scene's are sliced off their bodies.
Legs and other body parts are sliced off.
Bodies are burnt to a crisp.
Intestines are spewed out.
Skin is torn open with ribs revealed.
Puppet rips out of a pregnant woman's stomach. Trust me you don't want to know the rest of the results. It's shocking especially to people who had miscarriages or abortions. Not a pretty sight and sick too!
Childs hands are sliced off.
Tons of bloddy stabbings and gunshots.
Bloodsheds everywhere of course.

Fabio Frizzi composed this piece but I wasn't impressed with it. Shows a different kind of music for the opening credits which seemed lame to listen to. As well some different types of sounds here and there that were forgettable. Yet has high pitched icy sounds for the terrors on what these puppets do along with powerful vocal chanting sounds which sounded clear to hear. This was the only best music. Then the closing credits has lame classical violin music having the traditional theme song. It sounds the same as in the previous sequel. This person was a bad choice and didn't do much effort for the most part in the storylines.
