An immortal novelist Richard Wayborn (Tristan Rogers) kills women and to temporarily bring his wife back from the dead. However, a college student Sara Foster (Arabella Holzbog) managed to escape from his grasp and tells a detective Scott (Tyrone Power Jr.) whom she went out with about his evil deeds. This puts RIchard in danger in which he has evil plans for her.

The beginning offers a mysterious appeal with the novelist Richard Wayborn pouring a glass of wine while a nude lustful woman approaches him. They get into a situation making out. I kinda had a feeling that I was in for one of those so bad it's good flicks.
Our heroine student Sara Foster walks home from college in which a pool party in the backyard takes place with a band performing with everyone having a good time. Yet these moments don't look natural enough to join in on the fun.
However a discussion between Sara and her college friend Jill talking about relationships seemed to breeze through okay.
A die hard fan Samantha asks Richard for an autograph as he offers her a ride. Then a nice moment on him giving her a drink with what looks like poison in it. She dies suddenly which looked a little too phony and over the top. Then she wakes up and acts lustful in which this is the body of his dead wife. This was an attention grabber.
When they enter his home she gets lustful towards him and of course have a good romp which is a drawing card to the story. Most common thing in an exploited cheesy horror flick.
The next morning Samantha's body is starting to decay which looked impressive to watch. Her hubby goes out to an event advertising his horror novel and to find another woman to come over and take over.
Yet watching everything unfold here made me wonder if this was truly a horror flick or not. It isn't scary. But I kept watching as it got more interesting when the horror kicked in later on.
At the event some nice interactions between Sara and Jill being excited to meeting him and being a fan.
Richard takes Samantha to his home which leaves a creepy feeling since he puts something in her drink. A carefully focused moment that she is dozing off but isn't dead. He tries to murder her in which she groggily tries to get away. This looked suspenseful wondering if she will get out safe.
When she arrives at the police station she is drugged which seemed to look convincing by the surroundings. Also comes in Richard in which this makes you wonder or not he will fool the police to take her back to his home by what was set out here. This for sure looked suspenseful to watch. At the same time however the situations looked a bit corny to watch as well such as the police asking for his autograph etc.
A policewoman does go home with him and taking a bath along with him drowning her. This looked a little too set out and not intense as it was supposed to have been.
Then another corny situation cuts into the story when this policewoman goes into Sara's class and tries to take her away. A struggle starts to occur as this woman looked ghoulish as well as her fingers bent. The intensity was lacking within the two of them. I was wondering if this was actually leaning into a horror or a slapstick comedy.
Then the terror is about to really kick in but still not scary moments. Such as Richard stalking Sara like in a library which is a sticky situation wondering if she can escape him.
However he takes the librarian home making her his next body for his dead wife. Yes you guessed it. They have a good romp and so fourth. Plus situations now between the two of them as you wonder who's who while we continue to watch with the wife of the possessed body sometimes murdering a guy she fornicates with.
Then the dark situations unravel with Sara at home during the late night along with Richard in her home and so fourth. She tries to run and hide in the cellar but he creepily approaches her and so fourth. This scene almost reminded me on a situation in the cult classic Black Christmas. After this scene it is a teaser making you wonder if she was actually having a nightmare.
The terror strikes Jill as she innocently talks to Richard as a fan. Things look tragic for her later on. There's even a moment on her in a distance from a building nude. I watched carefully wondering if she will jump off. THe moments here were mildly suspenseful.
Scott tries to help out Sara with these terrifying situations while going to get some results in which she stands by the door woth a gun and so fourth waiting for Richard to arrive.
A woman knocks on the door offering Sara pstychiatric help. This made me wonder if it's not who she thinks she is. Made me watch carefully as to what will happen next. Cleverly well done.
In the home and so fourth Sara tries to fight for her life by trying to kill this evil immortal but he seems a little too powerful.
Other situations unravel with her and Scott trying to put an end to his madness. Yet when it seems they did, they start to get into a lustful situation as this is the drawing card that the terror isn't over yet. The end of the story teases you a couple times. However, this started to become terribly lame while watching the outcomes.
Bottom line is that this flick was conffusing to judge as a horror or a comedy. However stuff like Tales from the Crypt had these situations. Yet that show had a much better style than this one did. Yes the horror kicks in but was too cheesy and corny to being scary. Some entertaining moments but it slides big time. Made on a TV movie type of budget.

The acting is a bit stiff and dated but some of it seems to do okay in which Tristan Rogers (Richard Wayborn) shows off his smooth talking persona quite well. Shows off a good wicked type of charming behavior. Plus does well with his powerful and wicked attitude.
Arabella Holzbog (Sara Foster) seemed to breeze through okay as an innocent one. Does a nice job as someone whom seems wise and has a convinvingly spooked behavior too. Was okay when she acted drugged in a scene. Offers a fair versatality when she gets tough or aggressive. However she was low on energy when she screams in a certain scene.
Tyrone Power Jr. (Scott) shows off a believable seriousness by portraying a detective as well as having an emotionles and expressionless type. Was on the spot big time when trying to go into avtion or having a discussion. Made all of this shine off nicely.
Sonia Curtis (Jill) really brought some spunk into her role as a happy go lucky type. She also does well reacting peeved or a bit disappointed in which she made this look convincing. Offers great energy along with her characeristics too.

Butt and breast shots are revealed with a lustful woman in a hotel room during the very beginning of the story.
A fan is fully bare breasted while fornicating.
A librarian is taken home as well revealing her breasts in a couple scene's.

Marc David Decker is pretty impressive with the opening credits by having a somewhat a classical creepy suspenseful score. However it made me wonder if some of it was on a synthesizer. Still was impressive to listen to for a b-movie like this one. Some chiming sounds happen here and there. It was mediocre. Other trashy sounds with the symthesizer I wasn't a fan of which needed improvements. Some comedic string plucking for the corny scene's were used which fit the scene that it was used in.
