A mansioned that has been abandoned since the 80's is once revisited a day before Christmas in which some bored kids find some vintage belongings as they are demonic and start acting deadly since being awakened.

When the family enters the mansion it looked nicely done when they arrive since it was abandoned lifetimes ago as well as warning them not to go into the 3rd floor of the place which leaves a hint that something deadly can happen if any of them do so.
When some of them wander around the hallways and rooms of the place a nice mysterious shot on a ghostly child which is brief in which this was impressive
for a ghostly horror tale such as this one.
Some of the kids spot some retro looking toys especially from the tickle trunk along with some surprising situations that unravels with these toys later on in the story which adds to some of the suspense and some of the fantasy.
The oldest of the siblings Alicia spots what looks like an 80s video game system asking her Dad if he knows on how to hook it up along with showing attitude about the games on the system since nowadays kids are into current games on xbox and other kinds of today's technology.
This seemed to work into the story nicely along with her playing the games and there's a spider video game in which we see a crawling spider slowly creeping into her popcorn bowl as this was supposed to bring some chills to the story but I found it amusingly hilarious.
The nanny Rose is tormented in her nightmares with a pack of kids near a fireplace as well as spotting on what happened to a doll's face as this I admit was done in a good horror fashion.
However the toys coming to life and trying to act creepy to the grown ups looked a little too cute while watching all of this unravel.
Yet when the toys come out of the tickle trunk along with a toy bee that reminds me of a stuffed one I had when I was a child from Honey Nut Cheerios flies around which looked too cute to be scary at all as well as the other toys acting cute and entertaining with the kids having fun in which this leaves an impression that they are friendly types instead of deadly object but yet this moment for sure changes when the grown ups get involved.
The Christmas tree is coming in to decorate with old ornaments found in the mansion as this made me think that another deadly situation will occur as this was done in a fair fashion.
A friend of the family Emmet gets gruesomely injured as this moment is controlled by Alicia playing the game system as we've seen these situations before. However, when her father David tries to get help in the vehicle the toy bee is flying around inside the vehicle wrecking havoc which once again looked too cute to be scary.
More funny moments is when a toy elf gets the kids to throw presents in the fireplace this for sure looked a bit funny and suspenseful while seeing the outcome of things along with what happens to the Christmas tree.
One of the kids is wearing a mask like helmet in which he wears it often and acts weird and boy does it look spooky when his Mom removes the mask for a quick second.
During a near ending Hannah tries to rescue her kids on the third floor before it's too late as the situation looked suicidal which I won't give out but it makes you watch furthermore as to see what will happen along with a tragic moment to one of the adults. Yet there's a surprise ending which looked ghostly.
Bottom line is that this seemed to pay a tribute to Full Moon Pictures with their flicks such as Demonic Toys or even Puppet Master. Yet the story seemed to be fairly bland at times and didn't do much for me.

The acting is in fair shape in which Kyana Teresa (Hannah) was fairly sharp in her role whenever she says her lines in which they come clear plus she does good while acting alerted to situations. Plus does a nice job by acting stern or behaving like a coward and coming across as dysfunctional when the terror strikes.
Georgia Waters (Rose) did her job splendidly as the nanny in which she was perfect by being mellow, gentle, kind and softspoken. She also had the perfect looks for this role which was a great choice. Also knows how to get into characteristics when she comes across as someone whom is mysterious.
Verity Marks (Alicia) was one of the cast members that stood out the most in which she portrays a stuck up and insecure teenage kid. She drew it all in nicely as well as showing alot of great energy and charisma for everything that she did with this role.
Dayo Ade (David)
did a nice job as someone whom is easy going and level headed in which he shows off a nice outgoing type of behavior as well as doing well with delivering his lines in a great fashion. He definetely studied his role quite well here and shows a nice courageous type of attitude too.

Someone is impaled with a sharp stick
Some mild bloodsheds

Alot of light classical sounds that was used in the flick as well as chiming sounds plus we hear quarter way through some vocal harmonising in which they all suited as to what took place in each scene. All of this was nicely composed by Matthew Rogers
