A drifter named Jake (Derek Thompson) awakens to a deserted area by his mobile and travels to different areas in which he meets a woman Liz (Erica Jenkins) alone in a bar. She herself is trying to find out as to what happened to her mother Patty (Debra De Liso). They both realise that the locals are missing with very few people residing in the area.
The two of them are both dreaming along with hallucinating at times but not sure if they're awake in which these moments are caused by a force named the Trickster. They go to the aid of a gyosy woman Delphi (Leigh Grace) to solve this unsolved mystery.

This was nearly a plotless story but I will do my best to review this clunker. Such as in the beginning our main character Jake wakes up near his trailer in a deserted area in which we spot some good shots on all of this within the surroundings that take place It leaves an impression that he's all alone.
Then he goes off careening into the night as he spots a vehicle parked there in which he associates with the people residing there. One of them isn't too sure on Jake wondering if he's to be trusted but it's a disappointment when you think that something terrifying is about to happen and it doesn't do that at all. Yet it left more of a mysterious feel during this sequence realising that they're all alone in a Twilight Zone type of fashion.
While entering a bar, it's deserted which is a nice touch to a horror story with only a mysterious woman Liz whom was a regular customer that is around in which their conversations seem to work in well.
During this moment when she tries to fry him a hamburger the scene reveals Liz at the counter with her family and friends which didn't explain itself when this suddenly happens but then after this moment happens the scenario explains itself alot better.
She lets him stay at her place until they figure out as to why the people are missing by this Trickster figure in which she is charming towards him as well as hitting on him. This seemed to work in well to this weak plot but nothing too special so don't expect anything great here.
When they go to sleep she asks him if she spots her having a nightmare to wake her up as I was thinking that something creepy is going to happen but it's a disappointment.
However, there's a situation with someone whom is grabbing her and getting demanding by slamming her against a wall but it looked very phony to watch all of this outcome. Very amateurishly done.
Another zany moment is when he gets a note from Liz to see her at the bar in which this looked strange as she was in her home a minute ago. He goes to the bar only to realise that there's a different woman who claims to be Liz. I wondered if he was dreaming or not as I was thinking to myself "WAKE UP!"
During other moments that involves them they spot the odd hallucination of people that they know as this is a brain teaser making you wonder as if this is real or not.
They both go to the aid of a gypsy woman Delphi as there's more boring discussions as well as trying to find other areas to explore for missing clues.
More and more pointless scenes occur in the story but then they run into others as there's gunshots and the odd struggling moments that happens here when some of the people discovered the disappearances caused by the Trickster being which looked mildly energised.
Bottom line is that I couldn't find this to be a horror flick and mainly a mystery but again with the disappearance on locals caused by some being can be considered horrifying I guess. However, it's not the least bit scary. This was also badly written and plotted. The makers tried this piece to be original but misses by longshot. Avoid at all costs and it's one of the weakest plots I've ever seen and boring to watch.

There's only 3 people that have main roles in this flick. But I will say that the acting is half okay and the other half.... Well pretty wooden. Erica Jenkins (Liz) seemed to add some spunk into her part in which she shows off a fairly convincingly likeable attitude as well as coming across as outgoing which shines off fairly well. Does a nice job by acting flirtatious and romantic too. Plus reacts well to situations and shows a decent versatile attitude when she gets fearful.
Derek Thompson (Jake) however did not put too much characteristics in his performance and just says his lines. He seems to come across okay onto the camera but that's about it. Shows some energy during the actions that surrounds him. However, that's nothing to brag about.
Leigh Grace (Delphi) does a nice job as a gypsy. She shows off a perfect happiness and was believeably full of life and charisma within her performance. She brought it to life greatly and was realistic by what she does here. Made her role as someone you'd truly trust in which she studied her role greatly while behaving this way as well.

Steve Garbade composes this piece of trash but does some mildly impressive jobs in certain parts of the film. Some low wavy outer space like synthesizer music which flows in fairly well. We also hear the odd classical violin playing with at times hearing a female vocal harmony as this wasn't too shabby either. Some of it sounds highly uplfiting and some of it sounding low in other spots.
