A cop Lucas (Ed Cannon), who's actually a vampire and drinks the blood out of the criminals, teams up with a hot investigative journalist Melanie Roberts (Melissa Moore) in which they have a romance with one another, to stop a posh crime boss Hal Greicher (William Lucas) who is involved with a drug rink and prostitution.

The film has a zero grade budget with a trashy start seeming to pay a tribute to those low budget 80's types with a police car, dancing parties as well as hookers too. Also revealing clips on news reporter Melanie Roberts in bed having a terrible nightmare. This moment with clips of her seems to last alot in the story. I was wondering whether or not she will wake up.

Hookers get it on with someone in a hotel room. One of them takes a shower. Lots of cheesy close up shots with her washing herself. Suddenly a couple thugs lead by Hal Greicher, crashes into the fun in which this was supposed to look disturbing and intense. But it was so trashy and lacking it just doesn't cut it at all.

A juvenile delinquent nearly gets violent towards his girlfriend outside near his car after she bites him. Even though this is trashy like the rest of the film it drew me in by wondering if this dude will get violent with her.
Nice dark shot on a hulking figure with a light shining behind him as I admit this was done in a good cheesy horror fashion as well as a good shot on our heroine Vampire Cop Lucas revealing his fangs attacking him. This scene can briefly please gorehounds.

A fun action scene with Lucas and his detectives having a gun war against Hal and his thugs. A sad moment with one of them being shot to death and Lucas goes charging towards them with his fangs revealed proving gunshots won't stop him. A great shot on Lucas opening his mouth and revealing his fangs with a good wide eyed moment on one of the goons getting scared. A perfect horror touch.
Even though this is a bad film this was a nicely written scene even if it looked amateurish by how it was performed.

Melanie is lying in a bikini by a seaside in which the girl that was abused by the delinquent talks to her and what she saw. This was supposed to look suspenseful. Although it was a good moment in the story it looked terribly amateurish on how it was set out.

She goes on a search for Lucas in the afternoon in which a shot is showing him topless hanging upside down like what a vampire bat would do while sleeping. Yes this moment is for sure corny. Then they have a discussion on certain stuff as it doesn't flow well like it should have.

Of course in the story we spot the drug dealing pimps Hal and his dopey sidekick Raymond in which they discuss on how to take care of Lucas. Trust me this looked terribly amateurish on what was going on. Doesn't look threatening on what they were talking about whatsoever.

Lucas goes undercover in which he almost gets it on with two hookers. Suddenly he has a thirst for blood in which he bites one of them on the neck and the other tells him to stop. If this looked intense as it sounds watching this scene is so lacking it's not even funny.
However some good takes on his fangs and vicious expression especially his pale looking eyes really shined off. Many other takes on him doing this.

A conversation between Melanie and Lucas getting into a romantic mode seemed to fit in but how it was set out looked phony. Of course they get into a lustful mode which was well focused and killing time. I was like ho hum!

One of Hal's women that was attacked by Lucas earlier mentioned is about to get into a lustful client in a bath tub. He was seen in the bath with other hookers as it was pointless in order to kill time. But we know what was going to happen. This was a great vampirific moment. Yet the outcome didn't look graphic. Of course this was due to a lack of no budgeting.

The best scene is when one of Lucas' men is tied up and wanting answers with Hal being violent. A nice cheesy camera shooting up during this moment and the surroundings looked fun to watch. For fans who like trashy moments on a mafia type may get a kick out of this. During the ending of this scene Raymond brings out a chainsaw and is ready to hack this victim up. However the graphic killings aren't revealed. Why??? They couldn't afford it probably. This is a disappointment for anyone that loves horror violence.

Then the real showdown happens when Hal tracks down Lucas' home and then points a gun at Melanie almost leaving him helpless else he will kill her. But then when his back turns on them a nice moment with his fangs being revealed. Then he goes in for the kill. The battling begins in slow motion with low sounds when he bites Hal. They think it's all over but when they go outside the sun is about to rise and go back in with a good shot on Hal with his fangs being revealed with a struggle against Melanie. Some of this took too long though.
This goon runs outside and later on what is revealed left on him looked well done as I was thinking the makers saved their pennies to make this effects look good for the last of it.
The story doesn't explain as to what happened to Lucas which was rather confusing. Yet during the very end Melanie and a male news reporter are about to broadcast and boy does she do something shocking which is a nice ending for a horror tale.

Bottom line is that this is Farmer's best effort (Which is saying very little) He has a bad camera and budget but alot better than what he has had in his other work. This is nothong to brag about. Some better writing but terrible performances offering alot of skin. The budget looks like a very bad porn flick.

The acting is terrible and very amateurish as scream queen Melissa Moore (Melanie Roberts) can't even save the acting. She is pretty wooden mainly because she has to speak loudly due to bad audio as you can tell. She can't even act romantic or get scared or aggressive. I've seen her perform in better roles but this one doesn't cut it.

Ed Cannon
(Vampire Cop Lucas) had the brawny and hunky looks and appeal for this role. Yet he can't seem to get into character. You could tell that he tries his best but doesn't cut it. Yet he is a strong force of nature when he goes into battle looking powerful by what he does.

William Lucas
(Hal Greicher) plays a drug dealing pimp who couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. He really couldn't convince others as a nasty type. Way too over the top with his sneering behavior. Barely had the right bad guy looks. He needs to think on pursuing something else as acting isn't his thing.

R.J. McKay (Raymond) as the bumbling sidekick was too goofy to been taken aeriously. He was laughable in a bad way when he gets nasty and seems like a total dork within all that he did. He didn't even look right for the part. No stars for him whatsoever.

Morrow Faye (Traci) was probably the worst of the cast as a hooker. She showed no emotions or fear. In faxt there was a scene where she was supposed to be anxious during a terrorising moment and seems way too lazy into being this way. She just said her lines and not having a clue to what she was doing.

Plenty of skin
Couple of hookers are topless in ahotel room with one of them taking a shower. Close up shots on her breasts
Another one barebreasted while the vampire cop goes undercover in which they make out.
More breasts revealed like one getting flirtatious to a guy in a bath.
Romantic situation by the two main characters with the woman fully breasted getting it on. Then is barebreasted again the next day while answering the phone.

Wrist is snapped off with blood gushing out.
Blood is splurting out on a victims during a non graphic chainsaw murder. Also blood spitting out of this victims mouth.
Vampire dead corpse with his body all burned up.

Edward J. Kilgallon was quite amateurish with his composing by using a synthesizer for somewhat classical playing. Also uses it with cheap sounding saxophone music for the lustful moments. Corny xylophone and comedic music in a shower scene. Plus great high pitched icy synthesizer music for the gun fighting action moments which wasn't too shabby. Some decent piano sounds and peaceful music during a romantic lust.

A terrible song for the opening credits with the song "Slow Kill" performed by Borderline. The singer was terrible and off key. THe song tried so hard to sound like a retro cheese type song that we have seen in top retro type movies. Doesn't cut it at all and got very annoying.

Melanie Roberts: Quite a night owl, aren't we?
